To set up a free radio stream using MB RECASTER Free, you need to capture audio from your computer and route it through the software to a free streaming server like Shoutcast or Icecast.

Here is the complete step-by-step guide to installing, configuring, and broadcasting your live stream. 1. Download and Install the Software

Visit the official MB Radio website to download MB RECASTER Free.

Run the installer, select your language, and click Next through the setup wizard.

Choose the default installation path, hit Install, and launch the application. 2. Configure Your Audio Source

Click on MBRecaster in the main toolbar and navigate to Configuration > Audio. Select your sound capture device from the list.

Use Loopback devices to stream the music directly from automation software (like RadioDJ) without needing virtual audio cables.

Select your microphone or line-in input if you plan on doing a live voice broadcast. 3. Set Up Your Streaming Encoder

You can configure up to 4 encoders simultaneously to connect to an external free hosting provider.

Locate the encoder section on the interface and set the server Type (e.g., Shoutcast V2 or Icecast).

Choose your Codec—MP3 (up to 192k) or AAC+ (up to 96k) are standard for free servers.

Enter your streaming host details: Server Address, Port, and Source Password.

For Shoutcast V2, enter both the Source Password and Administrator Password to pull listener statistics.

Click Enable to turn on the encoder and begin pushing the stream live. 4. Input Station Metadata

Go back into the Setup / Options window and click on the Metadata tab. Fill out your station name, genre, and website description.

To show what song is playing, enable the option to read metadata from an external text file (such as the text file generated by your media player). 5. Alternative: Use the Internal Server

If you do not want to use an external streaming host, MB RECASTER Free features a built-in internal server.

Check the Internal Server option to stream directly from your own computer.

Open your internet router settings and map the corresponding TCP port to expose your IP address to listeners.

Share your streaming URL with your audience using your public IP address and port. YouTube·305 Stream
